Alsana Westlake Village offers a residential eating disorder recovery community for adults, providing evidence-based, structured care for people recovering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, and diabulimia, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions. The program welcomes clients of all genders. Its multidisciplinary team meets each client where they are in recovery and keeps clients at the center of care, focusing on a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where clients can concentrate fully on healing.

Clients receive 24-hour care, including on-site nursing, in a home environment with shared spaces for daily living and recovery, including a kitchen, dining room, meeting spaces, and outdoor areas. Programming is structured and comprehensive, with five group sessions per day, two individual sessions per week with a primary therapist, one psychiatry session per week, two nutrition counseling sessions per week, a weekly nursing assessment, and a weekly session with a supportive other. This combination addresses the physical, nutritional, and emotional sides of recovery together.

Alsana's approach is compassion-focused and centered on the individual. Alumni describe a team that doesn't give in to the eating disorder while never treating clients as if they were only their eating disorder. They also describe care that encourages meaningful self-reflection and helps clients build self-acceptance.

When clients are ready for more autonomy, they can step down to Alsana's nearby Westlake Village day treatment facility, which offers Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. The day programs offer flexible scheduling, so clients can continue building recovery skills while returning to work, school, and time with loved ones. The team can also help clients find recovery-minded housing near the day program, which makes the transition out of residential care more seamless.

Alsana is in-network with many major insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Kaiser Permanente, MultiPlan, MHN, and Optum. Residential programming is also available at other Alsana locations.
