Our Mar Vista sober living home is located in the heart of West Los Angeles. Mar Vista residence offers a community-oriented setting for men serious about recovery. On-site conveniences, public parks, and support services within a short walking distance make Mar Vista an ideal place to build a lifestyle of sobriety. This residence is tailored to encourage the balance of independence within a structured set of guidelines that enable residents to focus on self-discovery while still participating in a supportive community. Our structured living environment in Mar Vista is designed to boost well-being. The research supports the idea that people in structured living environments perform far better in terms of long-term sobriety. Through a mix of peer support, proven recovery methods, and opportunities for personal growth, we provide a place where men can focus on building the skills and resilience they need for a fulfilling, substance-free life. Design for Recovery offers young men with substance use disorders a structured, 12-step-based program that helps them stop using drugs and alcohol for the long haul. Our program emphasizes the principles of honesty, integrity, responsibility, accountability, and service. We understand that recovering from an addiction is more than just becoming physically abstinent. Addiction affects every aspect of a person’s life. As such, recovering from addiction entails rebuilding a person’s life from the ground up. Residents at our Mar Vista sober home work hard to develop new life skills, examine the underlying causes of their addictions, and change behaviors that no longer work. Through our programs, they make real progress toward living happy, fulfilling lives free from drug or alcohol addiction.
