Our Playa Del Rey sober living home is centrally located near the beach, downtown, and LAX International Airport. Playa Del Rey, a neighborhood located in Southern California, is a safe, mostly residential, beachside community. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, Playa Vista to the northeast, Westchester to the east, and El Segundo to the South, Playa Del Rey offers residents access to the entirety of the Southern California region. Young men living at our Playa Del Rey area location have access to a wide variety of nearby resources. Playa Del Rey is home to a thriving addiction recovery community. Residents of our sober living home attend daily 12-step meetings in Playa Del Rey and adjacent neighborhoods. The neighborhood is also centrally located so residents can easily meet their other recovery needs, including psychiatric and medical help. Design for Recovery offers young men with substance use disorders a structured, 12-step-based program that helps them stop using drugs and alcohol for the long haul. Our program emphasizes the principles of honesty, integrity, responsibility, accountability, and service. We understand that recovering from an addiction is more than just becoming physically abstinent. Addiction affects every aspect of a person’s life. As such, recovering from addiction entails rebuilding a person’s life from the ground up. Residents at our Mar Vista sober home work hard to develop new life skills, examine the underlying causes of their addictions, and change behaviors that no longer work. Through our programs, they make real progress toward living happy, fulfilling lives free from drug or alcohol addiction. Learning to live Living a principled life in harmony with others allows residents to find joy in sobriety and significantly decreases the chances of relapse.
