Facility Summary:

Newport Academy’s Sacramento outpatient program is helping to address this gap in mental healthcare and teenage counseling in the state, by providing teens with integrated, evidence-based care while helping them to build supportive peer communities. Our model of care incorporates teen therapy services, including teen depression therapy, with local family therapy and parent support groups. In Newport’s full-day Partial Hospitalization Programs and partial-day Intensive Outpatient Programs, young people gain resilience and healthy coping tools. And parents gain tools for better communication and enhanced family harmony. Experiential activities at our Sacramento location may include art, music, yoga, meditation, and outdoor activities in the area’s parks and hiking trails. Teens in our Sacramento outpatient program explore underlying issues prompting their risky or self-destructive behavior. Our treatment guides them to make changes that enhance their well-being, while our family therapy component helps parents and teens build stronger relationships.
