Reasons Eating Disorder Center was founded by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with deep expertise in eating disorders, trauma, substance use disorders, and related psychiatric conditions. We offer a full continuum of gender-inclusive care, including inpatient and residential treatment for adults 18+, as well as outpatient partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for adolescents ages 10–17 and adults 18+.

Our inpatient services are provided at BHC Alhambra Hospital, allowing us to work with most major insurance plans and to address acute psychiatric and medical needs alongside eating disorder treatment. Our residential programs are located in the San Gabriel Valley, offering a tranquil, structured environment with 24-hour nursing support and a high staff-to-patient ratio. Care is delivered by a team of psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, nurses, and case managers who coordinate closely with families and outside providers throughout treatment.

We are committed to inclusive, person-centered care for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and body sizes, and we place particular emphasis on honoring the experiences of marginalized communities, including people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and people in larger bodies. Reasons is also a certified TRICARE® provider, serving active duty service members, retirees, and their military families with individualized, respectful care.

Reasons Eating Disorder Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, reflecting the highest level of quality standards in the field. We treat anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, eating disorders in type 1 diabetes (ED-DMT1), and co-occurring disorders — supporting each person's path toward lasting recovery and a fuller, more connected life.
